SARS-CoV-2 Coronavirus infections have been the subject of numerous researches, in order to obtain a more detailed understanding of the health impacts of some groups, including lactating women. Objective: To identify and analyze scientific publications regarding the relationship between infections by Coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 and breastfeeding. Methodology: This is an integrative literature review whose bibliographic survey included studies published from 2019, in English, Portuguese and Spanish, through SciELO and PubMed platforms and the descriptors were “Coronavirus Infections”, “Pregnant Women” and “Breastfeeding”, with the Boolean operator AND. Exclusion criteria were used, such as: works that addressed a different theme from the proposal, theses, dissertations and course completion works. Then, the chosen articles were submitted to an analysis, to include them in this study. Results: According to the literature, it was possible to observe the groups of pregnant women in the third trimester of their pregnancy, where samples such as urine, feces, oropharyngeal secretion and breast milk were analyzed. This analysis allowed the confirmation of the presence of the virus in pregnant women, however, the presence of the virus in breast milk was not found in any of them. Conclusion: From the analysis of the results found, it was concluded that breastfeeding would be safe after treatment against infections with Coronavirus SAR-CoV-2. However, it is valid to state that because it is a recent event, one must consider the lack of evidence about the potential for viral transmission via breast milk.
